Text Messaging Policy & Terms (SMS/MMS)

This Text Messaging Policy & Terms (“Texting Policy”) explains how Key 2 uses SMS and MMS text messages and the choices you have. This Policy applies to texts sent by Key 2 and by service providers who send messages on our behalf.

‍Debt Collection Notice: This communication is from a debt collector. This is an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose.

1) Account-Related Messages Only

Key 2’s text messages are account-related messages only. Examples include:

  • Payment reminders and payment notifications
  • Account and portal/service updates
  • Requests to contact us regarding your account
  • Customer support responses you request

We do not use account texting to send marketing messages about unrelated products or services.

2) Consent to Receive Text Messages

By providing your mobile number and opting in (for example through our portal, webforms, or during communications with us), you give Key 2 permission to send you account-related text messages at that number.

You understand and agree that Key 2 may contact you regarding your account using text messages, including messages sent using automated dialing equipment and/or artificial or pre-recorded voice or text messages, to the extent permitted by law.

Important: Your wireless carrier may charge you message and data rates.

3) Message Frequency‍

The number of messages will vary by account and based on your interactions with us.

4) Costs‍

Message and data rates may apply. Charges are billed by and payable to your mobile carrier.

5) How to Opt Out (STOP)

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message we send you.

  • After you opt out, we will send you an opt-out confirmation message.
  • After confirmation, you should not receive additional text messages from that texting program unless you later opt back in (where permitted).

7) SMS vs. MMS Delivery

If your handset does not support MMS, any MMS messages sent may be delivered as SMS messages instead.

8) Carrier Disclaimer

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

9) Privacy and Data Use

Key 2 uses mobile numbers and texting interactions to provide account-related communications and support.‍

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Subscriber mobile numbers will not be sold or shared.

10) Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide a valid mobile number that you are authorized to use;
  • Notify us if your number changes or is reassigned; and
  • Use reasonable care with sensitive information. For your security, do not text highly sensitive information (such as full SSN or complete bank account details).

11) Changes to This Texting Policy

We may update this Texting Policy from time to time. The Effective Date above reflects the latest version. If changes are material, we may provide notice as required by law.
